CF Industries’ storage and shipping facility at the Port of Tampa in Florida gives the company access to Gulf Coast, Corn Belt, and export markets for its phosphate fertilizer products. The facility has the capacity to store approximately 100,000 tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP).

DAP and MAP are shipped to the complex by truck and rail from the company’s Plant City, Florida phosphate fertilizer manufacturing plant. They are stored at the shipping complex until loaded on barges and vessels for shipment from the complex’s deep water dock to customers. Shipped across the Gulf, the fertilizers can then be transported via barge to the company’s Corn Belt distribution facilities and other customers. Significant tonnages are also exported, thanks to the company’s partnership with global fertilizer trading company KEYTRADE AG.

The Port of Tampa facility is located approximately 40 miles from the phosphate fertilizer manufacturing plant.
